Potter's Love

a potter
a wheel
moist clay
wet hands feel
a slippery caressing intention
first watching, it spins
elbows lock, leaning in
with a firmness a balance is formed
thumbs, pushing down
pull out, strength throughout
a smoothness simmers beneath
pausing, a breath
watching the wedge
taking a moment to dream
then with one elbow high
hands form and apply
a fingertip and knuckle formed love
the fingers, they feel
then pull and reveal
what was not yet real a moment before
there is balance
there is trust
there is definitely lust
in the way that a form is pulled up
and I will dream of the clay
(because I love you this way)
creative energy
that pushes and pulls

Very sensual, in every meaning of the word. Thank you for this Catherine.
I love your depth of sensuality, seeing and ability to paint these visions of passion and delight coming from your soul and senses.
Catherine, It spins beautifully on its axis, a dream and a breath.
