Emotional Triangulation

Posted on Mar 23rd, 2007 by Catherine : mildly metaphoric Catherine
Love
and Compassion

Passion
and Love

Compassion
and Passion

points of reference
emotional triangulation
survey of the heart

geometrical calculation
landmarks set
on each beat and pause

but if you seek to map my heart
(and I think you do)

I will point out (to you my love)
that it would be best
to delineate your own
first

for among its terrain
both rough and smooth
you must blaze your path
when you do
take a look

and I will meet you halfway

The architect in you is in full bloom! And amidst all the geometry, there is a message … which, as always, is touched with hope.

Dang! Wanderer beat me at 1st place again!  Heh, heh.  This poem is full of meaning. My favorite lines are:

but if you seek to map my heart
(and I think you do)

I will point out (to you my love)
that it would be best
to delineate your own
first

And of course, I cannot help but be reminded of this well known verse of Rumi’s (of whom I’ve told you your poetry reminds me) – “I will meet you halfway.” Blaze on!

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing, there is a field.
I will meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass, the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other doesn’t make any sense.
